| Originally established in the Stockade District in Schenectady in 1983, Stockade Imports is unique in several ways. Deborah Barthold, owner of Stockade Imports, is from a family that has been involved in the carpet business for 5 generations. She has had the rare experience of traveling the Silk Route, including multiple journeys through Turkey, Afghanastan, Pakistan, India and other countries in the Middle East and Asia, with her father. She knows many of the artisans and intermediaries personally. |
